'Unapologetically Her' Paint & Sip

Paint power. Sip bold. Create loud. An immersive Women’s History Month art experience honoring women who changed the narrative. 'Unapologetically Her' is a bold Women’s History Month immersive art experience presented by Verses Listening Lounge & Collaborative Center. Where creativity refuses to play small. We’re painting power and honoring the women who changed the narrative — and the ones still rewriting it. Come ready to create loud, connect deeper, and leave with art that feels like you.

HER VOICE. HER STORY. HER LEGACY.

Before the film. Before the lights dim. Before her words fill the screen-we gather for a night of truth telling, rhythm and reverence. Join us for HER Voice HER Story HER Legacy. Poets and spoken word artists will take the stage at the historic Grandin Theatre, to honor the power of language, the depth of womanhood, and the stories that shape us. Expect verses that are bold. Tender. Unapologetic. Unignorable.

Grab concessions and then, together, we transition into a powerful cinematic journey exploring the life, brilliance, and impact of one of the most influential literary voices of our time — Toni Morrison. Bring your friends, your mother, your daughter, your sister, your niece and your aunts—let’s fill every seat and celebrate the brilliance, power, and resilience of women together.

The Ultimate Urban Market Pop Ups

Join Us For - The Urban Market Pop-Up
The Urban Market Pop-Up, was founded by Verses and proudly launched in November 2022 in celebration of Small Business Saturday. This event was created as a vibrant space for our community to come together and support local small businesses in one central, welcoming location.

We welcomed over 50 small businesses, including food trucks and food vendors, offering a unique shopping and dining experience that celebrated the spirit of entrepreneurship and community.

Our goal is to make the Urban Market Pop-Up an annual tradition—a meaningful reminder that shopping locally means investing in the heart of our community.

Back To Black Art Show

BACK TO BLACK: A Celebration of Black Art & Culture

The Back to Black Art Show is a powerful tribute to the richness, depth, and diversity of Black art and culture. Our vision is to celebrate and showcase Black voices through all forms of artistic expression—ensuring that the stories, perspectives, and creativity of Black artists are not only seen, but truly valued.

Our mission is to engage, educate, and build meaningful connections within the community by creating space for dialogue around the importance of Black culture and art. We are committed to offering a dynamic platform for Black artists to express themselves freely, share their work, and inspire others.

This is more than an art show—it’s a movement. A space to amplify voices, honor heritage, and ignite conversation.
